Channeling: The Spice Girls

spice

GUESS WHO I'M GOING TO SEE TONIGHT!! The Spice Girls stop in San Jose for their reunion tour and me and some friends have scored some pretty terrible seats. They're nosebleeders, they are, but at least I'll be in the same arena as the women who scrawny little elementary-school Connie made up dances to and insisted on listening to in the car. On repeat. With the volume up to eleven. I'm sure my Dad's way of retribution for the fact that he was forced to learn all the words to "Wannabe" was to prevent me from attending one of their concerts when I was younger. But now, a decade later, I'm searching desperately for a pair of platforms, and my old tattoo choker necklace to flaunt at the concert tonight. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Pleaser platforms
Forever21 sequined dress
Crimper
Uh, Fashion Jewelery Necklace (?) choker
Ricola throat lozenges (for after you do all your screaming)

I totally remember those retractable choker things haha. My friends and I where the SG for Halloween in 4th grade. We even had the platforms, unfortunately they don't really make those anymore. Have fun! See ya in the nosebleeds Con!

I just got back and it was INCREDIBLE. GO GO GO if you can--it's definitely something worth seeing.

Also, Posh is looking quite plasticky these days.

You lucky, lucky girl. Because of the Spice Girls, I thought that everyone from the UK wore Union Jack dresses and platforms. I think some of my friends still believe that.

Haha. That looks so fun!

I need some help: I just moved from the state of Minnesota, (where it is always either exremely cold or extremely hot) to the Bay Area, with milder year-round weather. The summer went by fine, but when winter arrived, it seemed as if my wardrobe consisted of things that either were too thin and I'll freeze in them, or too thick and I'll contract heatstroke (think, big puffy bomber jacket hangs next to toilet-paper thin top). I don't have anything 'in the middle'. Any ideas?

I must say I secretly want to go to see the Spice Girls! I never will though. Can you please please please do one of your songlists for christmas music? I'd love to hear some songs by bands I don't already know!
