Prep the Themester: Mardis Gras Party

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

This Catholic holiday is celebrated in dozens of countries around the world, but the US (or more specifically, Lousianan) version is one of a kind. Brought to the states in the 17th century, it was first celebrated as a masked ball, then as a parade. Nowadays thousands pay homage to this ancient holiday by getting shit faced and showing their boobs. If you find yourself standing in front of your closet before a carnival party, just think jester transvestite and you should be pretty much on par. And for the beads? If you must, give them out sparingly fellow tarty readers. Remember, some traditions just don't work outside of their natural environment ;)

ahhh, how I love my Louisiana. What other state lets children out of school to watch their family act totally uncivilized?
